Causes of Hair Loss

Hair loss is more common in men than it is in women. Approximately 50% of men experience a form of hair loss, while this is only 40% for women.
For men it begins with a receeding hair line, and then loss of hair until hair remains on the sides of the head and on the top of the head. For women it is a bit different, hair more commonly tends to thin all over instead of losing it altogether in patches.
There are surgical restoration procedures such as hair transplant surgery, or non surgical methods such as prescribed pills.
Surgical methods may be the best for both men and women, methods of which are explained in further detail on this site.
